Rape: Police arraign suspect’s mother, one other after PUNCH report

The Ogun State Police Command has taken the mother of one of the suspects, who allegedly raped a 13-year-old virgin while being unconscious, to court following a report on the incident by PUNCH Metro. PUNCH Metro had reported that the victim, who works as an apprentice nurse after school hours, was approached by one of the gang members while on the way to her workplace on November 16. It was learnt that the suspect blew an unknown substance into the victim’s eyes, which made her to lose consciousness after she had resisted his advances. It was gathered that the suspect carried the victim to an uncompleted building in the Baale area of Ajuwon, Ogun State, where his gang members were waiting for him. The victim, who spoke with PUNCH Metro, said she regained consciousness after the boys had taken their turns to rape her.
