Bishop Oyedepo declares Covenant University Stadium Open In Ota, Ogun State | @CUHEBRON

The long awaiting Stadium in Ota Ogun state was Formaly open on saturday by the Chancellor, Covenant University, Rt Rev (Dr) David Oyedepo of the awesome Covenant University (CU) Stadium and sporting complex.

The 20th of October 2018 is the Founders Day and 16th Anniversary of CU and as such the opening and dedication was done in celebration. 

Other activities that took place at the opening were a novelty football match between the school community and the alumni that ended in a 2-2 draw 


Covenant University CU was recently rated the best University in West Africa as well as one of the best 5 in Africa by the Times Higher Education. 

It also broke into the top 1000 Universities in the world.

$2.5 billion for Africa’s first Disneyland-style resort - Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, has announced that the state have secured a landmark investment of up to $2.5 billion for Africa’s first Disneyland-style resort. While highlighting the state’s rapid economic growth and tourism potential, Abiodun revealed that Ogun’s economy has expanded from N3.5 trillion to N16 trillion over the past six years, ranking it among Nigeria’s fastest-growing economies. In a post via his X handle, the governor credited this growth to strategic investments in infrastructure, basic amenities, and tourism development, noting that Olumo Rock now generates about N20 million weekly following its renovation. The governor further disclosed that MAG Group recently visited Abeokuta and pledged to invest between $1.8 billion and $2.5 billion in hospitality and entertainment projects. The investment plan includes the construction of a Disneyland-style resort, hotels, water parks, and other leisure facilities, marking a major milestone for the state’s tourism sector. ...
