Ogun State ADC Unveils Isiaka’s Running Mate

Ahead of the 2019 general elections, the Ogun State chapter of the African Democratic Party has unveiled the running mate to the governorship candidate of the party in the state, Prince Gboyega Isiaka. 


She is Mrs Olukemi Okeowo-Bolade.  She was a former Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State governor,  Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on Energy and Special Duties, during his first term. 

She hails from Ogbogbo, Ijebu North East Local Government Area of the state. 

Isiaka who later presented his running mate to the party chairman, Dr Gbolade Osinowo, said the party arrived at the choice after consultations with stakeholders in the party.

Isiaka and Osinowo said Okeowo-Bolade has the necessary pedigree, exposure, and experience.

Osinowo said,  “She has demonstrated that she is of the same quality as the governorship candidate. The synergy could be best imagined.”

$2.5 billion for Africa’s first Disneyland-style resort - Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, has announced that the state have secured a landmark investment of up to $2.5 billion for Africa’s first Disneyland-style resort. While highlighting the state’s rapid economic growth and tourism potential, Abiodun revealed that Ogun’s economy has expanded from N3.5 trillion to N16 trillion over the past six years, ranking it among Nigeria’s fastest-growing economies. In a post via his X handle, the governor credited this growth to strategic investments in infrastructure, basic amenities, and tourism development, noting that Olumo Rock now generates about N20 million weekly following its renovation. The governor further disclosed that MAG Group recently visited Abeokuta and pledged to invest between $1.8 billion and $2.5 billion in hospitality and entertainment projects.
