"ACCORD House of Representatives Candidate Decamped to APC"

"Asiwaju Abayomi Oke of ACCORD Party in Ado-Odo/Ota has dumped his former party for APC. Asiwaju who came 6th out of 20 candidates that contested for House of Rep position was handed the broom on Sunday 3rd of March in Ota. At an event that has the Gubernatorial & Deputy candidate of APC in attendance, Asiwaju was received by Senator Akin Odunsin and some other leaders of the party. Asiwaju Abayomi Oke later released a press statement to the public on his defection.

We embarked on this political journey last year with the ultimate goal of serving our people and protecting their interest through political office.

We believed that by representing the good people of Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, we will be able to empower the dreams of young people, delight the adults and provide effective and qualitative representation using the instrumentality of law making.

We tested our popularity at the polls last week under ACCORD Party platform and we must acknowledge that our people sincerely voted us without monetary enticement and for that we are grateful.

In our bid not to relent in our tradition of impacting lives, we have decided to pitch our tent with a political party that will afford us the platform to add value to our community and Ogun State as a whole.

Permit me to announce to you that the Asiwaju Campaign Team has now officially aligned with the All Progressive Congress Party. We shall be working assiduously to see to it that Prince Dapo Abiodun & Engr. (Mrs) Noimot Salako-Oyedele become the next Governor and Deputy Governor of Ogun State.

We sincerely appreciate ACCORD Party for their support and hereby call on all our supporters across the Local Government to team up with APC structure in all their respective wards and ensure the victory of APC in the Governorship election of March 9, 2019.

Thank you so much for believing in our vision and dream of a better society. Continue to support us with prayers and we crave more for your moral support.

God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria
God bless Ogun State
God bless Ado-Odo/Ota
God bless APC
