NIGERIAN AMBASSADOR TO SWITZERLAND HONOUR OLOTA OF OTTA IN SWITZERLAND

The Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland, His Excellency Baba Magudu led other Federal Government representatives to officially receive and welcome the Olota of Otta, HRM Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege P.hD, MCIPR, MPRII, FHEA(Lanlege EkunII, Arole Iganmode-Ogunfunminire) and our mother, Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege to Switzerland.


H. E. who was a special guest at a dinner organized by the Aworis in Diaspora and Yoruba Community(Switzerland) yesterday 5th of June 2019 described Kabiyesi Olota of Otta as a God-sent brilliant scholar and an outstanding monarch committed to repositioning the traditional institution.


Alayeluwa was accompanied by Culture and Tourism Expert, Prince (Barr.) Adewale Adeyanju, Chief Raymond Okikiolu Fadairo(Baamolu of Otta) and his wife, Yeye Baamolu, Alhaji (Chief) Kehinde Saaka(Asoju Olota in diaspora), Chief Ishola Kolawole Salako(a.k.a Baba Oba) and others.




Kabiyesi in his response thanked H. E. Baba Magudu, guests and the organizers for the befitting reception. He assured the gathering that he will continue to promote our rich culture to the world while he also urged Awori sons and daughters in diaspora to keep flying the flag of Aworiland and to always ensure that they stay connected to their source.


Kabiyesi equally thanked the Board Director of Basel School, Tobias Moser and his team for their commitment towards the educational development of Ota-Aworiland. The school has agreed to equip one primary school in Ota.
