We assures Isheri residents of government’s support - Ogun State govt.

The state Deputy Governor, Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele, lead a team of professionals to Isheri on Thursday, for an on the spot assessment of the flooding problems being experienced there.


The team included the Consultants to the Governor on Works and Environment; representatives of several MDAs including Lands, Survey, Physical Planning, Environment, OPIC, Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, Ogun SEMA, NEMA etc; relevant heads of House Committees; representatives of Julius Berger and other consultants.

Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele gave the promise when she led a government delegation on an on-the-spot assessment of the area.

The Ogun government promised the victims of flooding in Isheri community in Ifo local council area of government’s support to ameliorate their suffering.

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, has announced that the state have secured a landmark investment of up to $2.5 billion for Africa’s first Disneyland-style resort. While highlighting the state’s rapid economic growth and tourism potential, Abiodun revealed that Ogun’s economy has expanded from N3.5 trillion to N16 trillion over the past six years, ranking it among Nigeria’s fastest-growing economies. In a post via his X handle, the governor credited this growth to strategic investments in infrastructure, basic amenities, and tourism development, noting that Olumo Rock now generates about N20 million weekly following its renovation. The governor further disclosed that MAG Group recently visited Abeokuta and pledged to invest between $1.8 billion and $2.5 billion in hospitality and entertainment projects.
