Another fatal accident have been reported on the Iju Ota bridge

Thursday 15th September 2022. The accident at about 4pm was said to have taken at least one life according to the eyewitness account.
This accident is happening barely a week when a fatal accident that took five lives happened on the same bridge. The incident of last week sparked outrage on social media. At the same time, some residents of the area later protested about the bad state of the road and intentional neglect by both the federal government and political representatives of the local government.

Angry youths and residents of Iju Ota and its environs seem to feed up with accidents that have continued to take lives almost on daily basis. The youths are currently protesting and are burning tires on the road to show their frustration and anger as government representatives in Ota seem to be clueless, heartless, and less concerned about lives being lost on the road on daily basis.
