Lagongo Of Mamu Village.

Here's the statue of Lagongo, the pacesetter, and founder of Mamu Village. A great hunter that used lion and leopard as pets when going hunting. 

Mamu, Ijebu North, Ogun State, Nigeria. Mamu village is a border between Ibadan and Ijebu Ode in Ogun State. Mamu is also close to Ogun State Secretariat at Oke-Mosan Abeokuta.

  1. This statue is not at mamu and there is no legend of mamu called Lagongo. The founder of mamu is not Lagongo. This is a pure distortion of history. I am from mamu and I can tell you categorically that mamu was founded by Ajimajasan
