RE: FALSE REPRESENTATION OF MR. JIMOH OSHIN AS MOGUNISEJA OF MOBALUFON

FROM THE ISEJA RULING FAMILIES OF MOBALUFON

PUBLIC DISCLAIMER AND COUNTER STATEMENT

RE: FALSE REPRESENTATION OF MR. JIMOH OSHIN AS MOGUNISEJA OF MOBALUFON

The attention of the Iseja Ruling Families of Mobalufon, comprising the Ilumoka, Demuren, and Oludipe houses, has been drawn to recent public claims identifying Mr. Jimoh Oshin as the Moguniseja of Mobalufon.

These claims are false. Mr. Jimoh Oshin is not the Moguniseja of Mobalufon, a sacred traditional title to which he holds no legitimate claim. We categorically state that Mr. Jimoh Oshin has neither been nominated, selected, nor approved by any of the Iseja ruling families. His continued self-proclamation constitutes a grave affront to our heritage, customs, and lawful succession protocol.

We call on the Ogun State Government, Odogbolu Local Government, the Ijebu Traditional Council, the general public, media outlets, and relevant authorities to refrain from recognizing or according any form of respect to Mr. Jimoh Oshin in relation to the Moguniseja title. Doing so would be misleading, unlawful, and a violation of the rotational chieftaincy arrangements of the Iseja families.

The Iseja families remain committed to due process and the preservation of the Moguniseja institution, in accordance with our ancestral customs and Ogun State chieftaincy laws.

Signed:
Dr. A. B. Taiwo
For and on behalf of the Ilumoka, Demuren, and Oludipe Ruling Families
