Ogun State on a New Path as Key Infrastructure Takes Shape

When emotions settle, and our disruptive brand of politics gives way to sober reflection, it will become clear — especially as Ogun State secures a seaport, oil-producing status, and now an airport — that this season has been one of deliberate, strategic, and all-round development.”

Often, when praise comes from party loyalists or members of a political team, it is easy to dismiss it as exaggerated or undeserved. However, the statement above stands out as a reflection grounded in observable progress rather than political sentiment.

In my view, the pace and direction of development witnessed in Ogun State in recent times are commendable. They suggest a leadership whose vision is backed by clear intent and purposeful execution. From ongoing efforts to secure a functional seaport and oil-producing status, to the recent completion and commissioning of an international airport, the state is positioning itself for long-term economic relevance.

Development should be acknowledged wherever it exists. When a leader delivers measurable results, recognition should not be withheld because of political differences.

Judging by the current trajectory of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration, Ogun State appears to be on a promising and sustainable path forward.
