Ruling Families and Indigenes of Mobalufon Reaffirm Support for Omọba Oyebowale Ilumọka
Mobalufon, Ogun State — The ruling families and indigenes of Mobalufon have once again reaffirmed their firm and unanimous support for Omọba Oyebowale Ilumọka as the Moguniseja-Designate of the town.
Community leaders stated that this position has remained clear and consistent for over six years and is firmly grounded in the customs and traditions of Mobalufon. There has been no change in this collective decision.
Omọba Oyebowale Ilumọka, grandson of the late Moguniseja Joseph Ilumọka 11, Moguniseja of Mobalufon, was duly nominated in accordance with established traditional processes. His lineage, character, and adherence to Mobalufon’s customary laws, they emphasized, qualify him as the rightful candidate for the revered stool.
Addressing recent controversies, the ruling families noted that much of the confusion surrounding the Moguniseja stool is being stirred by individuals who are neither indigenes of Mobalufon nor vested with any traditional authority in the community. Such interference, they stressed, is unacceptable, as the issue of succession is an internal matter reserved strictly for Mobalufon and its recognized ruling houses.
The families and indigenes further warned that any continued external interference will be confronted through appropriate and lawful means, reaffirming their resolve to protect the integrity, dignity, and traditional leadership structure of Mobalufon.
