Awori Descendants Union (UK and Ireland) Will Be Hosting The Olota Of Otta In London.

The Olota of Otta, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege P.hD, MCIPR MPRII FHEA (Lanlege EkunII, Arole Iganmode-Ogunfunminire) will be hosted by Awori Descendants Union(UK and Ireland) and Committee of friends next month, 17th October 2018 at Bexleyheath Marriot  Hotel, South East London.


The event will provide an opportunity for his subjects in diaspora to meet one-on-one and interact with His Royal Majesty on how to further develop Aworiland and the country at large.

The hosting comes against the backdrop of Olota's widely commended efforts  aimed at promoting peace and love among the Yorubas and leaders of various ethnic groups in Nigeria.

The visit is also intended to promote the economic well-being of the Aworis back home in particular to which His Royal Majesty is totally committed to and relentlessly pursuing since he ascended the throne of his forefathers.

The palace once again is using this medium to encourage all Awori Sons and Daughters at home and in diaspora to be more united in achieving our collective goals.

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, has announced that the state have secured a landmark investment of up to $2.5 billion for Africa’s first Disneyland-style resort. While highlighting the state’s rapid economic growth and tourism potential, Abiodun revealed that Ogun’s economy has expanded from N3.5 trillion to N16 trillion over the past six years, ranking it among Nigeria’s fastest-growing economies. In a post via his X handle, the governor credited this growth to strategic investments in infrastructure, basic amenities, and tourism development, noting that Olumo Rock now generates about N20 million weekly following its renovation.
